INTERNATIONAL TRIP
This Executive MBA team took advantage of exciting recreational opportuntiies while completing their capstone business consulting project in South Africa.
The Executive MBA program culminates with a capstone business consulting project that helps integrate business theory and practice taught in the classroom through the application of newly acquired knowledge and skills of a real-world business objective.
The first component is the Tetrad Project. Teams focus on integrative secondary research and conduct analysis on the viability of introducing a new or existing product or service into a foreign market. This foundational research includes strategic situational and competitive analysis, key financial decisions, a complete review of marketing issues, and an examination of the legal environment.
The program culminates with an International Capstone Business Consulting Project. These client-sponsored projects are based on the results of the Tetrad project. Complete projects deliver a focused, prescriptive market entry analyses that addresses industry, company and product specific international opportunities and challenges in the sponsor's country of interest.
The International Capstone project includes up to two weeks of required overseas travel and research in the target market country. The cost of the overseas activity for the projects is included in the program tuition charge. The team-based projects may be sponsored by local, regional, or national business enterprises, or by government or private foundations.
October-January: Tetrad projects assigned, designed, researched and analyzed.
April: Tetrad projects completed and delivered to sponsor.
April-May: International projects confirmed, designed and research underway.
June: 10-12 days of overseas research and analysis; solution alternatives and analysis developed.
September-December: Analysis and recommendations completed. Formal report prepared and presented to sponsor.
